The Loving Children's Home Our original program, the Loving
Children's Home, was a refuge for young children in trauma,
aged four to thirteen, who were victims of severe physical,
sexual and emotional abuse.
In our home, we offered them shelter, therapeutic intervention,
and the chance to experience a supportive, caring home. Together,
we formed a family where the girls learned and grew in parent-teaching
interactions, a motivational system, and self-counseling techniques.
For the first time in their lives, the girls were exposed
to a real family environment filled with love and support
and the security that allowed them the chance to heal and
start their lives anew.
The Loving Children's Home operated over an eight-year period
and terminated in 1998 when all of the young girls rejoined
their mothers and other siblings as they moved back to their
own homes.
